NZSSRA Championships NISSC/SISSC/Maadi

Each year NZSSRA holds three major Championships regattas: North and South Island Championships and Maadi, our New Zealand Championships. All three regattas are run under the same Championships Rules, Regulations and Programme of Events.

Maadi New Zealand National Secondary Schools Championships

The next Maadi (NZSSRA National Championship Regattas) are scheduled for:

  • 2011, 28 March - 3 April, Lake Karapiro, North Island
     
  • 2012, 26 March - 1 April [tbc], Lake Ruataniwha, South Island
  • 2013, 18 March - 24 March*, venue tbd, North Island
  • 2014, 24 March - 30 March, venue tbd, South Island

* Summer Tournament Week in 2013 is tentatively set down for the week starting 18 March. This date is early in the month and still to be confirmed.

North/South Island Championships

These regattas are generally scheduled for a fortnight before Maadi. NISSC is usually a three-day regatta beginning on the Friday and SISSC is usually a two-day regatta held over the weekend.

  • 2013 SISSC, 2 - 3 March*, venue tbd, South Island
  • 2014 NISSC, 7 - 9 March, venue tbd, North Island
  • 2014 SISSC, 8 - 9 March, venue tbd, South Island
