  10. The Championships regatta
Grave concern is being expressed by many principals at the current size of the Championships and its continued growth. The executive believes that action must be taken now to reduce the numbers of days off school required by the regatta and to put in place a long term strategy to keep the regatta of a reasonable size. A Strategy to resolve these problems will be discussed with members.
  11. Remits
    1. REMIT
It is proposed that programme changes be made to the Championships Programme in relation to the U18 Girls events, so that they are brought into line with the boys. Event 10 - girls U18 lightweight coxed fours become event 34. Event 34 Girls U18 Quadruple sculls become event 10.

      MOVED BY: Wanganui Collegiate

NOTE These movements would bring the Under 18 Girls competitions into line with the boys, making the girls events fairer and less gruelling over the last day
  12. 2008 Championships
The Tournament week is scheduled to fall between 31st March and 5th April due to an early Easter. The NZ Secondary Schools Sports Council have an alternative date where Events could be run before Easter (Week starting 17th March) and members' views are sought now if the early set of dates should be used due to the fact the regattas is being held in the South Island. If the early dates are acceptable they will require other regatta dates to be moved and we should give as much notice of our intent as possible.
